Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This cookie policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on paketico.com, the shop.paketico.com store and the app.paketico.com web app, and how you can manage them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Session management: keeping you logged in while you browse the platform.
- Security: protecting your account and preventing fraudulent activity.
- Preferences: remembering your language and configuration preferences.
- Performance: understanding how users interact with our platform to improve the experience.
3. Types of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled. They include:
- Authentication tokens: managed by Supabase to keep your user session active.
Functional cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization:
- Language preference (Español / English).
- Your choice about visit recording (Accept / No, thanks in the notice, or Allow / Don't allow in the Privacy Policy), kept in your browser's storage.
Analytics cookies
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website: which pages are visited and which actions are taken. PostHog keeps a visitor identifier in a cookie and in your browser's storage. This information is used to understand and fix usability problems and to improve our services.
PostHog also records masked replays of every visit to paketico.com and, only while you are signed in, of your visits to the store (shop.paketico.com) and the app (app.paketico.com): the layout of the screen and the page's own text (headings, buttons, products and prices), where you tap or click, mouse movement, scrolling, screen size, the page path and the timing of each action. Your personal data and that of your contacts and recipients (names, contact details, addresses, ID numbers), your messages and the notes on your shipments are always hidden, as is any text that looks like an email, a phone number or an ID number; what you type is hidden entirely and images are not recorded. In the store and the app nobody who is not signed in is ever recorded; accounts created on or after October 1, 2026 accepted this recording when they signed up; older accounts are recorded only if they allow it in the notice on the screen. You can turn it off at any time (in the app, under Account › "Visit recording"; in the store and on paketico.com, in each one's Privacy Policy, which describes it in detail).
In addition, to know how many people have Paketico installed, the app (app.paketico.com) and the installed store (shop.paketico.com) keep in your browser's storage a random device identifier, the last day each way of opening it (installed or in the browser) was counted, and the identifier of the last account signed in on it. It is not a cookie and is not shared with PostHog; it is described under "Installed app use" in the Privacy Policy.
4. Third-party cookies
The following third-party services may set cookies on your device:
- Supabase: authentication cookies to manage your user session securely.
- Payment provider: cookies required for secure payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Vercel: technical cookies for website performance and content delivery.
- PostHog: an analytics cookie with a visitor identifier, to measure how the website is used and to record the masked replays described above (in the store and the app, only while you are signed in).
5. How to manage cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways. Please note that deleting or blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of our platform.
- Browser settings: most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their privacy settings.
- Safari: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data.
